So how did my relationship with the Cloud deepen?
In the summer of 2017, I was studying for my Masters and as a distraction I decided to research web development to create my own website when I came across Amazon Web Services (AWS). I subsequently attended an AWS Summit in London, and from that day on I was hooked on the cloud and its offerings and I knew I wanted to work with the cloud. The energy and the excitement that surrounded me that day at The Summit was contagious. Attending the seminars and observing what cloud services could achieve was mind-blowing. Yes, I use cloud services for email, retail, storage, Internet of Things (IoT) and video on demand, but honestly, at that point of time I had no realisation of the plethora of cloud services available and how much the cloud had become integral to a multitude of enterprises across many industries. Aside from the technical aspects of the cloud, the economies of the cloud was a revelation to me and the strategic opportunities vast.
So fast forward to the autumn of 2018, I finally have some time to get myself certified in AWS as a Solutions Architect Associate and later on in VMware Associate Digital Transformation.
Why am I now starting a blogging site?
I hope from my blogs you will find some useful information on what I have learnt so far since the beginning of my cloud epiphany. My blogs are intended for everyone. Also, any events I attend or books I read, I will review and share with you. For me, ultimately, I just want to be another cloud contributor and spread my love of the cloud and connect with like-minded folk.
So on that blog Cloud On!
